Where has time gone.....

In a little under a month my baby girl will be starting 2nd grade


WHAT?  HUH?  How did this happen?


I swear I just brought her home from the hospital last week!


How did I go from having this cute curly headed blonde running around!

To having this cute blonde with one heck of an attitude (I swear she doesn't get it from me she gets it from her nana!)

Needless to say she's starting school wether I like it or not so I might as well get ready!  I've already got most of the school supplies, she's pretty much set on clothes, so really all we need to pick up is panties, socks and the dreaded BRA'S!  Yes you read that right she is also now wearing bras!  Lord help me she's only 7 I was so not prepared for that one!  

Well off for now the next post is what I've been doing the last fews months thats kept me so busy and distracted from blogging!

So for anyone that knows me and Alyssa knows that Alyssa has quite a few allergy issues.   Well most of them we found by trial and error, but starting back in February she started breaking out in mystery rashes(hives) on her butt.  Well this last Wednesday was the most recent and 4th one.  These things progress and QUICK!  Literally it goes from her being fine to hives to extreme redness and swelling (infection) and heat in a matter of a couple hours!  Well we went off to the dermatologist yet again and up'd the zyrtec and started on keflex for the infection.  Well last night she came in here complaining her cheek was burning, hurting and itching.  So I look and what do I see a good size red patch.

So after a couple phone calls my mommy stress chills once I finally figured out it was a reaction to the Keflex.  Granted it still didn't help me sleep at all last night but not quite as stressed about it now!  I'm honestly not sure wether it looks better or worse today!  But as long as I stay on top of the zyrtec it doesn't seem to bother her to much!

I am finally breaking down and going to push to have them do allergy testing!  I have no choice anymore I am so stressed lately over the slightest thing worried that she will react!  So wish me luck at her follow up appointment Tuesday because I am going to need it!

Inspiration from a Disney movie?

You gain inspiration from the most unlikely of places at time.  Tonight i was watching tv with alyssa and she was watching a movie with the name i believe was radio rebel.  This girl who is normally she and invisible finds her voice through a radio show but keeps her identity a secret by take on the name radio rebel.  She and end up standing up against the principal for what she believes in land in the end in a way wins.  What im getting at is don't let someone tell you you can't be who are and go for your dreams.  Stand up for what you believe in and be who you are.

I always wondered why:

Alyssa: Yep and it all won't fit in my head so its going to my booty that's why my pants won't fit
Me: Ok whatever you say (while hysterically laughing)

And now I know why everytime I turn around her pants don't fit!  And all this time I was wondering if the washer/dryer was shrinking them!

Ok so bad bloggy moment its been way to long since I've blogged!  Well so you know I've punished myself by making my self blog all the crazy things that have happened lately so here it goes!

So where to begin!  The last month and a half has been a crazy whirlwind with Alyssa in Upward cheer, Girl Scouts and Awanas (just so you know thats 4 days a week we are running somewhere to something!)  I always said I would never EVER be one of those crazy soccer moms who was always running a kid to something!  Well guess what I AM!  AGHHHHHHH!!!!  LOL

Well lets start with girl scouts we just wrapped up preorders for GS cookies a few weeks ago and let me tell you I thought my child was nuts when she set her goal at 200!  Well mommy was the crazy one she ended up selling 202!  This year there was a new and OMG it is so scrumptious (we got an eearly taste test)!  I so can't wait for these to come in!

Ok so on to upward!  Yeah its a 2 day a week thing!  Practice on monday nights (yes we should be there right now but weather caused it to be canceled)  and game day is saturday!  We absolutely love the Upward program and our coach!  Ok enough yapping and on with pictures!

Where my craftiness comes from!

My grandma (miss you dearly grandma theres not a day that goes by that I don't think about you) and papa on my moms side! Me my cousin and brother are also in the pic!

Those 2 ladies right there have taught me alot of things over the years!  I spent many days right there along side them either cooking, sewing or what ever else they could come up with to do when I was younger.  Sometimes there are days I wish I could go back and spend more time with them and pay more attention to certain things that I thought "I'll never need this"  Guess what I DO!  They taught me many life lessons!  Between them and my mother I am a better person because of them!  I love you all!
