Its one of those days where I've spent most of it thinking about family and how much they mean to me! It always seems to happen after something fun and happy. Yesterday was my cousins little girls' birthday party. And here I after an amazingly fun night sitting here wishing my grandma could be. Wondering what if she was here? Would our family be so torn apart as it is now? There's no way of knowing the answer to those questions. But what bothers me the most is that our girls don't have what we did. The big family holidays. Yes there always seemed to be a fight but most of my memories from those days are happy and I miss that, for myself and for the girls. This last thanksgiving, christmas, easter and mothers day were the first holidays in years that I wasn't surrounded by the big family gathering from at least one side of my family they were spent with just my parents, my brothers, and my sister and her family. While yes it was nice and not as crazy and chaotic I miss all of that at times. I guess I just always imagined it being different for my kid(s) when I was little. But here I sit with the reality and you know what at times it sucks!
Ok now back to the happy notes last night was a blast! I don't know who had more fun the kids or the adults! Happy Birthday Lyla Faye!

1 awesome opinions:
I think that was one of the best parties I have done...Everyone had a good time...We will definately be going back there!!
I am determined one way or another to get everyone together...they might not like it...or like each other...but it is down right ridiculous that my child doesn't know some of my aunts and uncles...crazy! You don't have to like each other all the time to be family
