And another is about to bite the dust!

So only one more day and this summer comes to a close for us!  Alyssa will start 1st grade on monday!  I am so excited and sad all in one!

Where in the world is that cute little innocent precious baby I held in my arms 6 years 4 months and 5 days ago (yes I did the math)!

(well for the life of me can't find any of her baby pics so will add one in here when I finally  find one)

Tomorrows long list of to do's involves:
- A trip to the grocery store to make sure we have what we need for lunches.
- Pulling out and labeling all school supplies.
- Packing all said school supplies.
- Making Alyssa pick out her first day of school outfit (to spare the hour long decision that morning)
- Deciding what she will be taking for lunch the first day of school
- Deciding what she wants for breakfast the first day of school
- And attempting to get her behind in bed and to sleep at a decent hour!

And all that on top of unpacking, sorting and putting away of all the stuff we bought on the yard sale trip (another bloggy post that will be coming soon).

Bargains Galore on 64!

Bargains Galore 64 is always a blast!

Here is a little info from their site so that you know what it is!

THE 12th ANNUAL BARGAINS GALORE on 64 will take place on August 11-13, 2011, Thursday through Saturday. If you haven't been out looking at all the antiques, collectibles and just great buys, you have missed 160 miles of yard sales. "Shop until you drop" along Highway 64 (which parallels Interstate 40) from Fort Smith past Conway to Beebe, Arkansas

The River Valley of Arkansas is proud to host another of our Bargains Galore on 64 yard sale extravaganzas. This annual event is held on Thursday through Saturday, the second weekend in August and offers a great opportunity for commercial vendors, non-profit groups, clubs, schools, churches, civic organizations, etc., to promote their products or service. There are no limitations on what vendors may market, though we particularly encourage antiques and collectibles.

Designated a "Travel Treasure" by Southern Traveler magazine, the event draws family vacationers and dealers, buyers and sellers alike, who "treasure" not only great bargains along Hwy 64 but also the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful vistas that prevail.

We have grown tremendously each year, thanks to the great support of the various chambers of commerce and other tourist promotion agencies throughout the River Valley area.

We left out Wednesday afternoon after Alyssa's drs appt and drove to Russellville and stayed there for the night! Alyssa got her time in the pool (the requirement for her) and then we vegged out in the room for the night!

Then it was up bright eyed and early at 5AM to get the 3 of us through the shower bags in the truck and off to eat breakfast! We decided we wanted cracker barrell since it was only a couple blocks down the street! Then came the rain. It poured and poured for forever we ended up going to walmart after breakfast to kill time until the rain stopped then we headed out yard sale-ing. We had to contend with the rain off and on most of the day but we did get some good finds! We made it to Clarksville later that day and fed the kid and checked in to our hotel. It had a hot tub (which I'm sure you're guessing thats where I spent part of the evening and your right) LOL! The next morning it was up at 4:30 get ready do breakfast and head out on the road for more deals! We finally made it home around 6:30PM friday and we were exhausted. Not long after unpacking the truck and loading my stuff in to my car and getting home it started storming and we lost electricity (just what you wanna come home to) which we didn't get back until around 11:30! All in all it was a good but long exhausting trip!

Now for the few pictures that I have!
